Welcome to Pre-K

The Unit Study for the Month of September is Welcome to School!

We want your child to feel welcome, to familiarize themselves with their peers, and to understand that school is a safe place. Children will be learning through purposeful play. Our Work Center Time will have a central theme that is displayed across all centers and will naturally and effectively assess your child’s learning.  Through Work Center Time, with guidance and support your child will develop appropriate social and emotional skills, as well as fine and gross motor skills, and key components of math, reading and writing readiness. We look forward to sharing our plans with you at Parent Night!

Parent collaboration is the key to your child’s success.
There are several ways you can be apart of your child’s school community!

Keep In Touch!
There are many ways to communicate with your classroom's teacher and our dedicated pre-kindergarten staff.

  • Visit our blog to keep up-to-date about what we're learning in the classroom.
  • Email your child's teacher or call the school if you have any questions, concerns, if you'd like to share any news, or if you'd like like to get a specific picture of how your child is doing.
  • Please call to school at 718-965-4200 if you'd like to speak with any of the following support staff:
          Jo Gulino, Family Worker

Come Sing With Us! Music in the Classroom

Share Your Expertise!
Do you have a unique skill that you would like to share with the class?

The Pre-Kindergarten Team
