Pre-K 100 is learning all about different holidays during the month of December.  We read the story The Borrowed Hanukkah Latkes  by Nancy Cote. We wanted to make Latkes (potato pancakes) just like Rachel did in the story to celebrate Hanukkah.

The children have had a wonderful time learning about all of the different ways families celebrate the holidays. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning for our classroom holiday celebration!

Parent Workshop this Friday! Come for the workshop at 8:00, stay for our center time!

Dear Families,

This Friday, December 18th, before Parents as Learning Partners, the Pre-k teachers will be giving a workshop on the importance of developing fine motor skills for the 4-5-6 age group. Pre-K and K families are invited! 

Please come for our workshop at 8:00 am in room Pre-K 106, then join your child from 8:40-930 for our center time. At this time, you can play with your child in a fine motor center, or in the center of their choice, and you can see first-hand how our teachers coach students along in developing hand strength, scissor grip and control, and small object manipulation.

We hope to see you there!

Community Helpers

       As our unit on Community Helpers came to an end, the children in Pre-K 106 had the opportunity to learn about these important people across centers.

Pre K 106 and 100 gathered with family and friends to say thank you for our Community Helpers and for each other.

Thank you for joining us for our We Are Thankful Celebration! The students had a wonderful time sharing what they've learned about community helpers, singing songs about the traditions and history of Thanksgiving, and sharing a delicious meal with you, their families!
